Ca II K prom today 15.3.2023

Post by Petrus »

Horrible seeing today but managed to capture at least something to share. Big prominence was visible nicely in Ha and Ca II K. Decided to focus on Ca II K today.

TS Optics 80ED masked to f/11 (another scope's dust cap with aperture mask), Lunt Ca II K 12mm, Player One Saturn-M.

Beautiful CaK disc with those proms Petrus!

What where your recording settings (exposure, gain, fps, number of frames captured etc.) and how many frames did you stack?

Best regards,
Arne

Thank you Clare & Peter, Franco and Arne.

I must admit that I am a bit bad at keeping records, and now I already removed the txt. files along with the raw data. I can share these next time when I get the same setup running. Usually, I capture at least 1000 frames, if seeing looks better than usual, I go for 2000 frames. For CaK photos I stack 5 to 20 frames.
