March 26 2023 Observations. 8x32 SUNoculars.

Today at 3:40pm local time ( 19:40 UTC ) between thunderstorms ( Lowndesville S.C. ) I got a brief view of the Sun with my little trusty Lunt 8x32 white light solar binoculars. I got 8 spot groups on the solar photosphere through very thin clouds. AR13264 was a very tiny spot in the NE quadrant that was only glimpsed. AR13260 is seen as a very easy spot in the NW quadrant. Just SW of it I notice the now numbered AR13263. It's actually a double spot but I cannot cleanly separate them at this magnification. AR13258 can be seen as a tiny spot in the far NW quadrant. In the SW quadrant I can see three active regions close together. AR13256 ( West ) a single very easy spot, AR13259 ( Middle ) a smaller spot and AR13257 ( East ). Also an easy spot. AR13262 in the SE quadrant is an easy spot to see. This was the only time I saw the sun today from my dad's place. After driving out of a rain shower just south of Anderson S.C. on my way home I drove north of the activity into clear skies to my home in Edneyville N.C. By then the sun was low on the horizon preparing to set. The temperature during my brief SUNocular session was 69F ( 20.5C )

The northern edge of the storm system that has hit my dad's area all day has reached here. It's thundering outside as I type this and raining.
