Jupiter and Venus 3/1/2023

Post by rigel123 »

I forgot about the conjunction and on our way back from dinner my wife exclaimed, “You have to see these two beautiful stars!” I got my Canon 7D Mark III and 150 zoom lens and quickly caught this shot.

How lovely!!! I think the closest approach is today isn't it? Oh how I wish these clouds would disappear.

They certainly have been moving with tremendous speed, I took this image and combined 3 days apart

Thanks for the pic Warren...looks great :bow

I was clouded out for the closest approach...mostly clear skies most evenings after that

Thanks Brian, I was lucky my wife noticed it or I would have totally forgotten about it.

Hi Warren,

Lovely capture !
I did not know there was a Canon 7D mark3. I bought the original Canon 7D in 2008 or 2009. I still have it although the original got damaged.
