Catching up again, life you know! Nothing real dramatic but some interesting activity in some filaments around the spots in AR3260 in the NW and AR3256 in the SW. Both animations represent 45 minutes in real time. Lunt LS60T DS/ASI174MM/Meade 3X TeleXtender for the closeups

There is a very interesting bright spot that shows up in the animation of the SW filament wrapping around the Sunspot in AR3256. It brightens and fades during the animation. It doesn't act like a typical flare.

Great! The filament animations are really interesting. For the first one, it looks like there's a plasma source mid-way, with plasma streaming to both ends. Did it completely dissipate shortly thereafter?
