March 31 Ha Disk

Post by highqe »

Not great seeing this morning, but it was finally clear skies for a change.

Some nice prom activity for the end of the month.

Peter,
WoW, you have a perfect Ha disc here complete with prominences. I am humbled by your imaging and processing skills. Your AP130 does excellent as well using what must be excellent SolarMax 90 etalons. Are those Meade etalons or pre-Meade ones?

What camera do you use?

Like Rainer's images yours are super-GONG, but in color!! :bow :hamster:

Two thumbs up!

James

Ta James. I'm now using a QHY533M . One Etalon is an original Coronado 90mm, the other (tunable one) is a Meade...A recent big improvement
to the system contrast was a Beloptic ITF, the Meade BF30 started going cloudy but they would not supply a replacement ITF! ...they said I had to buy a new one! No wonder they keep going broke.

It's sad. Meade not supporting their products. I hear Lunt is doing the same thing now. Not guaranteeing their blocking filters. It's a recent change for Lunt. Lunt has always had a reputation for excellent customer service. This is certainly a negative change.
