Mar 31 2023 - A break in the weather

Post by Simon2940 »

Managed a lucky break in the clouds. That one rare situation where the wind actually helped as the water evaporated off the ground, coupled with good seeing and the 150mm.

Simon,
These are amazing. What I notice most is the mottles. They are resolved across the chromosphere into very numerous fine spicules making the sun appear to have a short furry covering. These reflect the fine 150mm scope you have, good seeing and excellent processing skills.

I have missed your wonderful high resolution, high relief, very detailed images. I hope you have more breaks in the weather.

Two thumbs up!!

James

Hello Simon,

Incredible imaging skills there Simon!
Are you going any more Youtube videos ? I saw your earlier work on solar imaging in the Woodland Hills cameras Youtube channel.

Amazing work!
For those who do are new or inexperienced, it may help to just note the basic details of your equipment and timedate/conditions as well though.

Magnus

Thank you to everyone. It's nice to see the sun again here in the wet windy world of not so sunny southern California!
