Hopefully Franco will be able to give a short live tour of NEAF, I won't record it so you will have to log in to Zoom. It should be a fun live broadcast.
It is all dependent on phone signal so Franco will confirm if he can do this, which day and what time. Please don't be upset if it doesn't work but we can cross our fingers

Re: April Zoom Solarchat - NEAF
Thank you Alexandra and Chris: I expect to go on Saturday as I have family commitments on Sunday. Too bad as Eric Roel will be there Sunday. I would say 10:00AM local time could be a good time. Alexandra, if you could please send me a Zoom link to my email for sometime tomorrow (you should have it) we can do a quick tech troubleshoot. Thank you for putting the disclaimers !
Thank you,
Franco

We’ll need the Zoom link and password to access.
I would love to attend NEAF but I would need to have ample cash with me which is something I rarely have.

Thank you so much for the tour, Franco! I watched with the translation, I really liked it, so many things, I think I would have died of happiness at the Lunt stand. It's just incredible! It was nice to see Alexandra, Warren, Arne, Clare and Peter.

It was very neat to be able to go to NEAF.
Thanks Franco for the guided tour. It was interesting to see.
There is no astronomy show like that in Australia.
Hope you enjoyed the rest of your time there
Thanks also Alexandra for organising the Zoom.

Thank you, everybody, for your comments. I think it was a neat experience and I learned a lot on how to do this better, less jumpy, if we decide to do it next year. It was fun to see all the stands: it was a bit a reduced format as dealers and manufactures did not come out in full force, except for ZWO, Celestron, Televue that had a very strong presence. It was great to meet John Palladini - Highfnum one of our members who has three SHGs. I hope to learn from him as we live not far from each other. I also met Stephen that was graciously helping a young lady buy a telescope from Farah - Woodland Hills. In the afternoon there was a bit of sun in between clouds so there was some Ha solar viewing with Daystar SolarScouts and a coupe of other larger scopes in WL. It was great to have some of you for the walking tour, I could see Warren, Alexandra, Clare & Peter: it was very noisy so it was kind of tough.

Hi Franco...
Thanks for giving us the views form NEAF, and I saw a lot of familiar faces in the crowd. The vendor space did not seem to be as populated as it was pre-pandemic but that may just be my interpretation of the views. I would have liked to have attended, but I was at work while you were doing the tour.

What I noticed most was all the refractors! I think overall even the SCT and the newtonian are taking a back seat to the refractors. The refractor may be dead to the professionals but it's alive and proliferating within amateur astronomy.
