Help Mosaic A to Z

Post by alessbonsai »

Mosaic A to Z
who can help me with solar mosaics?
I'm using ICE but when I select photos and start, I get a rugby ball.
It could be a Guide problem. or movement/rotation?
I take 4 shots from left to right and down from right to left, it seems to have alignment problems.
I attach a photo of the result and preview.

Hi There

The disk looks very low contrast, you need to do more panels to create more overlap, this should help.

AutoStitch tends to work on just about anything you throw at it.
The only negative is that you can only save as jpeg

I just discovered the 'new panorama' function in Affinity. Loaded my images and it stitched and normalized everything. It is not free, but not expensive, either. Demo version might work for this.

Hi,

What else image processing software do you have ?

I know PS is expensive which I use as I have it since more then 25 years due to my Terrestrial photography hobby.

I align manually and then just apply Blend layers and done. Look at my latest full disc from Yesterday. Even PS having automatic alignment it fails ..
