Hi,
I know I know this of 1000% OFF TOPIC but I finally finished the main project on my Land Rover 1961 LWB and just a sunlit example of different technologies in the World
Mexican way of putting the springs on the front brakes by the previous owners
The correct British way as the fathers of the Land Rover wanted them to be installed
I know the security plates where in the wrong position which we changed to the correct position afterwards.
BTW, today I went to the Mechanics shop in order to put some Oil on the drums and Brake pads as the annoying squeaking of the brakes made me nervous Strange is now that the car does not brake anymore but the squeaking has gone away ...
Finally finished ...

I don't think you are supposed to oil the brakes
It's great to see this project Rainer, we need now some images of the outback travels to remote solar viewing areas away from palm trees
