Prominences, 20 May

Beautiful prominences in the afternoon. Windy, but brief moments of smooth air.....who knew?

Gorgeous proms Jim, nice to see in h alpha. I checked them out in CaK whilst I’m waiting for my h alpha kit to arrive. It’s nice to be able to compare them,
Thanks
Nic

We really need to reconsider the general term Quiescent for quiet region prominences and filaments....they are anything but...

I agree Jim, I really need to get the classification project going again soon. I've been so busy at work recently, then holidays, then work with the British Astronomical Association. Hopefully when things calm down a bit we can try and get this moving again.
