24th May Sunspots over 3 days

Post by JohnW »

24th May. I managed to get a sunspot image this morning thru a small gap in heavy cloud. There are 3 images shown here to compare today's with - May 21st, 22nd and 24th. The prominent active region is AR 3310 which I measured at 50,000 km across. All images are single exposures with a Canon 550d camera, WO 81 mm refractor and herschel wedge at 540 nm. Sky conditions are poor this time of year in SE Australia as we are just about to enter winter. Thanks for viewing.
