Saturday Sun 27th May 2023

Post by Carbon60 »

A beautiful day and perfect for an afternoon Barbeque, but first things first and an hour or two spent this morning on the scopes to capture the latest action. The seeing was worse than a couple of days ago, so some of the images (esp Ha) are a little on the soft side, but I was really pleased with the results in 'white light' at 430 nm.

Anyhow, here are the images:

Hi

I was out having a play with ERF filters.

Visually the long prom lower right showed more structure for me.

But the streched image shows more than a brief look could.

I am happy with proms from the Chromo.

I need to look at getting more details out of the surface.

Currently use a PL to dim the image.

I would like to get better views of the dark field lines.

Cheers. Andrew.

Stu these are just fabulous. Your images are always top shelf and inspiring. I particularly like your presentation of "data missing" in the AR1313 & AR1310. To me this gives them an exloration/discovery feeling that we often see in the NASA images of the planets. Just brilliant.

So much detail in the WL shots. I can even make out the Ellerman bombs.

The mosaics are a great way of presenting those closeups. Beautiful granulation on the WL close-up too.
