Brief Solar Session 27/May

Post by sywong2000 »

Hi Solar fans

Finally some good weather at my site for some images. I setup my gear for a quick session but I've found the seeing was not good - like boiling water. Anyways here's a few images I've taken.

Askar 107PHQ, TZ4, PlayerOne Apollo-M mini (IMX429)
Ha under a doublestack from Daystar Quark + PST Etalon
Daystar Quark CaH

I used to use Televue 4x and IMX174 I've found at the edge of the image shows "radiation" or defocus. I've got a TZ4 and and also the new PlayerOne camera and sold the TV4x. I didn't take exact measurements but I think the backfocus of my setup after the TZ4 is approx 220mm. The Apollo-M mini is smaller than the 174 a little bit.

As I wonder how flat this setup would be, I've capture a set of mosaic as experiment and quickly sticking them up in Photoshop to see the results. It seemed that with careful planning and process, the setup should be able to do some decent mosaic works.
