51 tiles mosaic of the Fulldisk with extreme details.

Post by minhlead »

So there is a big storm out in the ocean and it bring all the cloud with it. I got a few days of extremely good seeing. I figure I would use this chance to make a good fulldisk mosaic.
And here goes nothing. What do you think?

Good work.

I do not look at the sky with the eyes of an astronomer, but of a person looking for the beauty of nature.

Minh,
It's nice to have seeing and clear skies good enough to do this. At least until that storm moves in. Stay safe.

Very nice!

Hi

Good work.

Comparing with my 90mm at F40 visually.

The proms are very comparable. I have done most observing on the proms.

Your spicule layer seems uniformly dark, processing artefact? In good seeing I can see lots of nice details there.

Filaments and sunspot with flares similar.

Having seen a lot of magnified processed images I was expecting more.
Your dark lines are much more like I see them.

I have been doing a bit of research on the 90mm. Temperatures and best clarity.

And looking to look at the surface is next thing to do.

Thanks. Andrew.

Thanks, James. The storm is still way out in the ocean. It'll hit Phillipine first before having a chance to hit Vietnam main land.
I am at HaNoi, Vietnam' capital city and it's quite rare for storms to hit my city. (Of the 35 year that I could remember, there are only 2 storm that affects our city and it's just torrential rain and nothing more). The Phillipine on the other hand always the worst affected country by storm. With the climate changing, the storm seems to be bigger by the year.
My prayer to them.

Thanks Andy,
The spicule got white clipped (black clipped) because I tried to push the proms a bit. Will try to preserve them next time.
Lookong forward to better seeing today since the storm is approaching closer.
