1.6.23: AR3319 CaK field check
Hi,
today i tried a new configuration for CaK imaging with only 2 lenses in the imaging train. Seeing was not the best but good enough to test it and check the field for aberrations due to the very long extension after the TV 2x barlow (in total ~16.5 cm).
So far the result seems to deliver (non cropped image).
TV 2x barlow, Antlia K-Line 3nm, lunt b1200 CaK filter, 9.5cm spacers, imx432

Thanks Eric and Petr. Cant wait to try double stack mode once the second lunt filter arrives from Simon.

Nice! Antlia 3nm you put near sensor 432? Or front Lunt CAk 1200? Fist to sun Cak Lunt or Antlia 3nm?

Re: 1.6.23: AR3319 CaK field check
The Antlia 3nm sits in front of the Lunt and serves as ERF in combination with the full aperture ERF.

Re: 1.6.23: AR3319 CaK field check
Thank you! Do you have Cal Lunt 1.25? Or 2.0 with diagonal mirror? How do you stack Antlia 1.25 to Lunt Cal 1200?
Do you have big ERF CAK filter for full aperture?
How is your aperture?

Re: 1.6.23: AR3319 CaK field check
Yo Oleg, its the straight through Lunt b1200 CaK module (without front filters). The Antlia sits on a t2 nosepiece, this goes into the TV Barlow. Then this adapts to the Lunt in front (T2 thread).
Its a Baader Triband sct -> full aperture ERF on the Schmidt plate.
235mm.

There is only 2" Versions, one is straight through, the other is with diagonal. I unscrewed the front part and that is a T2 thread.
The purpose is not stacking, but replacing the 2 Lunt ERFs in front with the antlia for ERF protection and offband blocking.
This configuration only works in combination with my full aperture ERF. Otherwise you damage the Antlia.

I dont know, you have to find out. But if it fails you might also damage the Lunt : /
So better try with only the K-line filter and check the temperature development.
To get more protection of the K-line you might want another filter in front like some sort of blue filter.
so in your case i would test with a array like this: barlow->hard coated blue filter ->baader k-line (->later lunt and camera).
no visual at all times.
