Post by Soendergaard »

my drawing from visual observation yesterday.
There was some beautiful activity from 3272 as it emerged from the limb.

Thank you. It looked like an active "spray" like prom - rapidly changing. Here is a (noisy) snapshot through the eyepiece. Which don't really do it any justice.

beautiful color sketch on black cardboard you made, saw it
on Flickr! I like to try that. It looks fantastic.
I really find peace in visual observation and drawing. Some things are priceless in a busy everyday life ;)

That's a lovely snapshot of the surge :hamster: I quite a agree about the peace in visual and drawing :bow sometime imaging leaves me frustrated and I far rather enjoy the sun with a quiet sketch even if I am not that talented :)

While they won’t put a dedicated astro-cam out of business, smartphone cameras are a nice always quick option to image the sun. Few exploit them to their maximum capability. Nice pic!
