I broke my SM 60 by tightening the etalon screw too far

Post by FRAZ »

I'm sure I'm not the only person who did this and i am hoping someone knows of a replacement part.

The etalon is not the problem but the pressure element which is glass has cracked. Some idiot took it all apart and was testing the limits.

Stage 2 mod completed @ 100, 127.
Istar 228 arrived, building the frame slowly while learning cnc.

Hiya Fraser.

I think you will be incredibly lucky if you can find replacement parts from the manufacturer, at best you can hope from them is to send it back for repair, if they will indeed do this.

Personally, break it down into contituent parts, flog it on fleabay and use the cash towards a new scope.
