Halpha from 6-9-2023

Post by SteveZ »

Hello Group,

I did get a several hour break in the clouds yesterday to try out a Hinode Solar Guider on my Lunt80. The Solar Guider was easy to set-up and worked well. After collecting a few full disk SER videos, I decided to try a few animations of a loop prominence (or an overlapping pair) off the limb close to AR3331. I collected a 600 frame SER video every minute and stacked the best 15%. Interestingly, I caught the AR3331 flare-up at 1711 UTC while recording one of the animation sequences. This one is 90 frames collected over 90 minutes and sped up to 6fps for the animation.

Thanks for looking.
