I was fortunate to have clear skies on Saturday morning and though the seeing was not overly good I made an effort to grab some solar images.
As usual, I captured a series of FD images through the LS80T/LS75FHa/B1800Ha solar scope and had a 1.6x barlow ahead of the ASI1600MM camera. The FD image below is a composite of separate exposures of the disk and limb: The Orion EON130 was setup with he Daystar Quantum and 4x Powermate to image the active regions in greater detail using the ASI432MM camera: The proms were on the smaller side but there did appear to be a bit of a loop prom on the eastern limb...maybe starting to decaying? : That was all from Saturday. We are starting to get a dose of winter starting tomorrow (Tuesday) with snow forecast and daytime highs around freezing for the next week or two. I'd like a few more weeks of dry weather (cold is ok) to allow customers to get further along with corn harvest
