System outage March 28th at 0600GMT

Post by solarchat »

Our new host dreamhost is going to be updating our servers and there may be a 30-60 minute System outage March 28th at 0600GMT

Sorry for the inconvenience but we have almost hit 80 GB in storage and currently have, by far, the largest astronomy forum ever created. Keep it coming as we have plenty more room.

Hey guys,
Why can't I upload a MPEG4 File. It is only 52 MB.
It does not appear to work the same as the "the copy image address" we use for GIF's.
The AstroBin link is fine but is simply tries to insert an image symbol when the address is pasted in.

It may not be a permitted file type like gif, jpg, png etc. that is my guess.

If you want to post some sort of video you need to upload it to whatever streaming site you use, like youtube, and then paste a link to it.
If you upload a video to this or any other forum, you get a link to a file that someone has to click to download the video. If you use a link to youtube, it will play in a frame in your post.
