April 2024 Eclipse Images

Post by Oak »

Hi All,

Here are some photos from the April 2024 total solar eclipse taken from Morristown VT. What an incredible experience!! That big prominence was awesome. My focus was on experiencing the TSE (my first) so the photos are a bit of an afterthought, but good to have a small memento.

Absolutely wonderful!! I think the best thing to do is enjoy the eclipse with your eyes, the visual is so much better than any photo. Any photos are a bonus though :bow :hamster:

I remember learning my camera with my eyes closed and counting the sequence for the exposure levels I wanted. By the time the eclipse came I could take all the exposures without looking down, all I had to do was recite my number of clicks :)

Derek,
I agree that visual is the best way to see an eclipse but imaging is the best way to record it. Nice job!!

Thanks everyone. I was totally unprepared for how amazing it would be, even with a moderate level of book-knowledge of the event. I guess I need to start planning to travel for the next one...
