Total solar eclipse 2024

Post by Lagonda »

Total solar eclipse on 8th of April, 2024, Dallas, Texas, USA. All images were taken with Canon 5d mark IV + Sigma 150-600 C + Baader solar filter (when needed). Nice things can be seen during total eclipse. From partial phases and sunspots (with filter of course) to diamond ring effect, prominences, corona, Bailey's beads...

Absolutely gorgeous and a beautiful presentation too :bow :bow :hamster:

You were lucky with the weather, so many mixed sky experiences from around the Dallas area.

I know, weather forecast was awful for Dallas, clouds, rain, even thunders... In the morning was very cloudy and just before eclipse started some nice weather was showing out of the window, and before totality was almost clear everywhere. I got so lucky. In the evening there was rain, thunder...
Long trip was successful. :)
