9.5.24: Ha AR3664 close up + limb shots

Post by Dennis »

Hi all,

finally i got a chance to image this active area with the new Ha- setup. Seeing was best early in the morning, then quickly turned to mush.
Many roads lead to rome and im happy to finally found my way for a ha-ds solution, thanks to Derek and others for the inputs and inspiration.
With only compression tuning i can get things on band, still have to exercise though.

Hopefully the next days some Ca-k imaging.

Theses are really good Denis.
I’m not seeing a blocking filter

Thanks guys!

David: blocking filter is the first element of the imaging train, in front of the barlow / tz4s. Basically like in a Quark.

That last closeup is like a fine pencil drawing or a woodcut. Beautiful.

Beautiful images! What f ratio are you at? So the lunt40 ERFs are removed but the housing otherwise intact?

Thanks, should be around f/60. Yes, erfs are removed, housings intact for compression tuning.
