Sun in Whitelight 20th May 2024.

Post by steveward53 »

I think I must have left site before hitting 'publish' yesterday so here's the offering a day late ...

Glorious blue sky but a terrible case of the wibbly-wobblies to contend with , managed to catch some steadiness eventually though.

Fantastic disc Steve :bow :hamster: I wonder when we will start to see the return of the monster, probably this weekend?

Thank you Alexandra.

According to Raben it'll be about another seven days as it's on the centreline on the far side today , but there's a lot of assumptions that it'll survive the journey anywhere near as powerful , there are not many that make the full trip intact.

And the NOAA X-ray charts have been dropping back into the 'normal' range all week and CMEs have been few and far between of late.

Here's hoping for more fireworks but I'm falling into the hyperbole trap , Que sera, sera as the song goes ... :)
