time-lapse from 9am to 3pm on Sunday, April 20 showing 2 large flares

Post by barnstorm »

TWO Solar Flares! this is a time-lapse from 9am to 3pm on Sunday, April 20 showing 2 large flares, several ribbon flares, a very large prominence, several filaments, and the sunspots in Active Region 3685. The plasma from the two large flares may have created CMEs. If CMS are Earth-Directed they will cause auroras.

Tech info: 100% solar-powered imaging system, SolarMax 90 ss, Hutech, ASI174. The recording used almost 4TB of storage to capture.

Have you got the date right, do you mean Sunday 19th May?
