I have been observing the Sun in white light for many years, first with Baader film, then with a Herschel Wedge.
H-alpha equipment has been on the whishing list for a long time, and in february I bought a Daystar Quark Chromosphere version.
The weather in Denmark has been awful in since then, but the past couple of weeks, there has been fine opertunities to observe the Sun (except all other duties, gardening, ...)
I'm piggybacking on my ATM 10" newtonian - and yes, the front of the newton is covered in many layers, to prevent any sunlight entering the tubus

18/5, I observet the large protuburence on the Sun's western limb. With almost no experience, I was practically shocked, almost to prepper level, but some of my astro friends soon calmed me down, nothing unusual about this protuburence ;-)
21/5 I had another look at the large protuburence. The weather wasn't great, very windy, bad seeing and thin clouds.
The protuburence has decreased significantly tangential, but increased radial.
