Och I missed , Ha Mosaic

Post by Alto »

Morning of 20th May 2024 - Ha Mosaics ( 12 pane ). Issues with the acquisition meant a slight mishap towards the bottom - but good learning curve!

Two coloured offerings Normal and Inverted. There's a lot of glare in the background which limits my ability to firmly process the proms, but hey ho at least there's something.

Large files on Astrobin for your delectation.

12 frames obtained using Solar Mosaic Tool on Sharpcap - Autoalign used - sadly it slipped a mite at the bottom!

Question for Mosaic experts, how do you process yours? I stitch then process, is that the best way as I've got a lot of glare in the background that wasn't removable if I wanted to retain the proms, sadly they've suffered in detail. There looks to be 6 join artifacts (?) showing on the normal one.

Nice disk, Geoff. I’ve always struggled with mosaics, others such as Stu and Rainer have great success with them and hopefully will chime in.
