My observing session was from 13:13 until 13:40 UTC. The skies were partly cloudy with fair/average seeing. The temperature was 73F ( 22.7C )
Coronado SolarMax II 60. SS & DS. 21.5x. ( 656.28nm )
Today I could see eight active regions in the Ha chromosphere. One in the northern hemisphere and seven in the southern hemisphere. All carry labels on the earlier KSO Ha reference image.
I could see a small filament in the NE quadrant not far inward of the limb. Further west straddling the Central Longitudinal Meridian I could see a curved broken filament. AR13682 could be seen as a ruffled area of plage in the NW quadrant but was not overly obvious. Some larger filaments could be seen to it's NW. A small curved prominence could be seen in single stack on the NW limb.
AR13674 could be seen with difficulty close to the SW limb as plage. What appeared to be a tiny bright floater prom lies on or over the SW limb just SW of AR13674. 21.5x just was not enough magnification to get a good look at it. ENE of AR13674 lies AR13679. I could see it as a couple of spots bridged by plage. Continuing eastward I could see AR13684 as a question mark shaped plage with a filament underlining it! Still continuing eastward on the CLM I can see the large and easy plage complex consisting of AR13685, AR13686 and AR13688. AR13685 shows two spots with plage wrapping around them. AR13686 was seen as a harder to see spot with plage wrapping around it's eastern side. AR13688 was seen as a plage " tail " on the complex. I could see a couple of fine filaments within the complex. Just below the equator in the SE quadrant I could see AR13689 as a plage. GONG shows a spot in it's western side but I do not remember seeing it and I did not record seeing it. A broken filament lies just to the NE of AR13689.
Rivalled only by the AR13685, 86, 88 complex by eye, there was a really nice thin filaprom in the SE quadrant. It was thin and stretched way inside the disc from the SE limb. It also spikes outward a fair distance above the SE limb! It was VERY noticeable!
The usual mottling of the chromosphere was noted.

Re: May 22 2024 Observations. Filaprom on the SE limb.
You are welcome, Eric and Mark. I have had a lot of clouds lately and not a lot of time. I am hoping for some sunny skies too this weekend too but the chance of thunderstorms is pretty high.
