Hi there Solar Chatters,
The now legendary AR3664 is tracking nicely across the Solar farside, the site "Raben" indicating it is still firing off XClass flares. Next week should prove most interesting to watch the Solar Southeastern limb. If it makes it back as a newly named AR then hopefully, I won't be clouded as I was for most of its last appearance. https://www.raben.com/maps/
In the meantime, I managed 90minutes on this rather sedate Active Region AR3685, 3686 & 3684 that are devoid so far of anything exciting flare wise.

I came in on this flare just as reaching its max of M4.23.
Captured UT 2024 05/23 02:13 to 02:56

Wendy got the pic of the day with her Sunrise this morning.
Added todays SeeStar image, Full disk mosaic and snaps to round it all off.
Enjoy the flix!
Peter

Beautiful flaring all over, Peter ! Hopefully 3664 will survive the trip around the back and reveal more surprises…

Great session Peter and lovely sunrise Wendy! Although quiet during the animation there is still some wonderful movement of the filaments and fibrils in the AR region and I love the look of the flaring in that AR near the limb.

Peter,
You did very well catching those flares. I really like Wendy's sunrise picture too. It made me think of putting my kayak on that calm water!
