Dear friends,

Here are a couple of closeups of active regions in H-Alpha from May 17th 2024.

Click on images to view them in full size on AstroBin.

The recordings where obtained using a using a iStar Asteria TCR 204-12 R35, with an Altair Astro 115mm TRIBAND H-Alpha D-ERF, Baader 35nm H-Alpha, Baader SunDancer II 3x Telecentric System TZ-3S, DayStar Quantum 0,4å PE and Player One Apollo-M Max mounted on a Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ6 PRO and guided with Hinode SolarGuider.

Thanks! I did not use a Sundancer, but a DayStar Quantum 0,4Å PE.

Excellent resolution, but it would need DSII for higher contrast and 3D effect. The optics are great.


I do not look at the sky with the eyes of an astronomer, but of a person looking for the beauty of nature.
