Dear friends,

Some closeups of active regions in H-Alpha from May 18th 2024.

Click on images to view them in full size on AstroBin.

The recordings where obtained using a using a iStar Asteria TCR 204-12 R35, with an Altair Astro 115mm TRIBAND H-Alpha D-ERF, Baader 35nm H-Alpha, Baader SunDancer II 3x Telecentric System TZ-3S, DayStar Quantum 0,4å PE and Player One Apollo-M Max mounted on a Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ6 PRO and guided with Hinode SolarGuider.

Thank you very much Franco, Eric, Petr, Kevin and Mark!

Franco: I think the difference is mostly down to varying seeing. All images are a stack of 200 images and ran through iMPPG with the same amount of sharpening. Contrast stretching was done individually in PhotoShop.

Skywatcher 100mm F10 open frame refractor, 2" Antlia dual band ERF filter as a sub energy rejection filter, Flip Mirror to either a Baader TZ4 telecentric focal extender, Combo Quark Chromosphere, Naked PST etalon for double stacking, ASI74mm camera, or an Antlia 5a Cak filter, ASI290mm camera. 100mm aperture is stopped down to 50mm for Cak.
