My SolarFlix ~ the SE Filaprom this morning
Hi there Chatters!
Here I present my one-hour animation of the giant filaprom straddling the Suns SE limb. Unfortunately, my sub-par seeing prevails!
Its now late afternoon here and I see GONG Learmonth is showing some very promising views of a very active SE limb. Those up North maybe in for a treat.

Re: My SolarFlix ~ the SE Filaprom this morning
Well captured Peter, it was poor day for imaging. Your results are really good in spite of the seeing conditions.
Skywatcher 120mm F8.3 open frame refractor, 2" Antlia dual band ERF filter as a sub energy rejection filter, Flip Mirror to either a Baader TZ4 telecentric focal extender, Combo Quark Chromosphere, Naked PST etalon for double stacking, ASI74mm camera, or an Antlia 5a Cak filter, ASI290mm camera. 100mm aperture is stopped down to 50mm for Cak.

Love that animation! Nothing like a good, thick Solar Slug on the limb!

Re: My SolarFlix ~ the SE Filaprom this morning
Hi
I had my first good look with my Santel 180 Rumak, Quark Prominence with mica cleavage faults but bright DS with a PST etalon.
The PST takes out a lot of scattered light whilst leaving the proms bright.
I could see the big filaprom 1.20pm BST and by it there were a row of thin proms with mushroom heads by it. And a dim spike going at 45Deg on one side.
Thanks for posting.
Cheers. Andrew.
