Hi all,
June proved to be quite a geomagnetically lively month, courtesy of AR2371 which unleashed a number of CMEs, including a large Earth directed CME on June 21st, sparking an impressive G4 geomagnetic storm as it impacted our magnetic bubble on 22nd/23rd. This was the largest solar storm to date this solar cycle.
As can be seen from the chart, other more minor events also took place during the month, including one originating from fast flowing solar wind spewing from a hole in the solar corona, to several from side-swiping CMEs.
Thanks for looking.
Stu.

Thanks, Stu.
Are you noticing an overall decline in the number and intensity of events with respect to last year or the year before?
Cheers.
Peter.

Putting it into context with all the others that was a big one!!
Great presentation.

Re: Geomagnetics- June 2015 Summary
Thanks everyone.
Peter, certainly the more intense ones to reach us have been more recent, but we'd have to look at the data on all CMEs over time from all parts of the Sun to say more about any such trends.
