CBSAP reminder for all members of this forum

Post by solarchat »

We are now in the 5th month and halfway to our 2016 fundraiser/raffle.

This forum is kept advertiser free and provides unlimited upload space for everyone here to learn about solar astronomy from the best imagers in the world and to learn about how to best do solar astronomy outreach.

We survived 2015 solely by the small monthly and yearly donations of about 1.7% of the users of our assets here and on Facebook. We keep our only fundraiser limited to 6 weeks in Sept/Oct so that you won't be pestered constantly about donating.

To date, this nonprofit has distributed over $400,000(US) worth of glasses and solar astronomy telescopes, binoculars, cameras, computers, mounts, diffraction gratings, etc... to hundreds of people in 27 countries to allow them to popularize the hobby.

Together, we have expanded this great hobby and the benefits it provides to citizens of Earth a hundred-fold. This forum has exchanged information among thousands of users and has helped people all over the world to better understand and enjoy solar astronomy.

I ask that you plan now to make a tax deductible donation of $10,$20,$50,$100 or more to our nonprofit through our paypal link on solarastronomy.org during our yearly fundraiser/raffle which will start September 15th.

In order to keep this forum, and all the others we run at CBSAP, free to users and advertiser free, perhaps you can set aside the money you spend on beer or coffee in a week for this program?

To the 7 people who make small monthly donations using paypal, you are already entered into the raffle. To those who have never donated to our nonprofit, please consider supporting the forum and the program by planning a donation in September/October.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled program...
