TWO MODELS OF PST CAK!? 1.0 and 2.0?

Post by TheSkyBurner » Mon Jun 04, 2018 10:10 pm

Okay this caught me off guard today, I unsnapped my etalon on my 2nd CaK pst and the etalon chamber is completely different from my first one

The blue ring is also a totally different blue color!

Clearly coronado made two different versions of CaK pst, I am not sure if the filters are different. But one is a deep well filter holder and the other is a shallow filter holder.

I am sure you will be equally perplexed when you see the images!

Enjoy this documentation of something you probably may have never known about.

The serial numbers are 50130 for the 1.0 and 50592 for the 2.0

The black glue holding the delrin ring onto the filter cell is eerily similar to the glue that Lunt uses to hold their delrin rings............. Could this be a hint?
