Post by Carbon60 » Mon Jun 03, 2019 7:40 pm

Just time for a quick session when I got home from work this evening. Not ideal for hi-res, but here's an image of the returning 'magnetically active' region where AR2740 & AR2741 once sat. Some really nice bright plage in CaK.

127 mm Technosky with Lunt B600/Baader K-line and Omega filter.
Basler acA1920-155um (IMX 174um sensor)
2.7x Barlow.

and a full-disk to set the above region in context.

Thanks for looking.

Lovely shots, Stu. I have not done CAK imaging for a while. Yours images inspired me to do it.

Many thanks, Brian and Alfred.

Alfred, I think we’ve all been inspired by someone on this forum at some time..... That’s the great thing about being part of it. Looking forward to seeing your CaK images.

Let’s hope so. Hopefully it will be back soon to give you a chance to use it over summer. I’d be happy to re-do a side-by-side comparison if needed.
