2 Nov - 3-band FDs and zoom-ins

Post by yltansg » Wed Nov 06, 2019 2:09 pm

Another cloudy day didn't stop some image production.

3-Band solar image featuring WL, CAK and HA FDs:

Please do a right-click to see the 3-band images in full resolution.

Was obtained with following setup:

The seeing became very bad when it came to HA zoom-in. Only manage one fair image:

It was made using this setup:

Thanks Eric and Alexandra.

It is interesting to see the differences in the HA-CAK plasma structures. I hope to do more of such high-resolution images comparison. Will include G-Band in the future:)

Thanks Phil.

Yes, all equipment, except the PST etalon that is used for the last image is functioning well. I was not able to have uniform featues with repeated tuning of the etalon. May be its internal gasket has been deformed or something. Previously it was ok. Doing some investigation.
