2020-05-20 CaK Plage

Post by solarGain » Wed May 20, 2020 9:41 am

I got this one in early, minutes later a wide contrail just sat infront of the sun the seeing was still good.
Arching activity well defined on my screen. More reverse granulation is also more evident in this capture.
Cloud now building as I write this.

Really good capture. Which scope and CaK filter did you use?

Hi SolarGain,

That is a very nice looking CAK close-up of the AR! What is the aperture of the telescope (refractor)?

Great image with lot of contrast. Is the scope a f/10 achromat ?
