Post by ffellah »

Hello all: a chilly night here in New England. First time I image the moon while cooking dinner. :)

Thanks a lot, Stu and Terry. Greatly appreciated. It looks brighter on my home laptop, darker on my office Mac.

This is with the brightness adjusted.

Thanks again Franco and I must admit that I originally did think a little dark, but you have well-corrected that without blowing-out the surface detail.

Cheers

Thank you Alexandra and Terry: dinner was oven roasted Mahi Mahi with white rice, it reminds me all the time of the Caribbean during the cold winter. Here is the imaging setup with the Evostar 72mm, SLT mount and the ZWO178 camera on the front porch.

Nice shot Franco :bow

I've watched the full moon rise the past 2 nights but the cold has persuaded me to stay be the fire

My daughter is home from university this weekend and wanted me to BBQ steak for supper...-12C at the time of the request and I declined

Take care,
Brian

I cannot compete with Canada, my friend. It was a balmy 23 degrees when I took the shot and I made sure not to stay outside too long. Barbecue at minus 12C ? :? This morning we woke up with 12 degrees, but sunny !

Franco...

I figured I'd use more propane to heat the cold grill up that the steak would take, LOL.

Hope you can image in the clear skies today. Sunny here this morning too, but overnight low was -24C (-11F)...cold on any scale
