Geomagnetic Summary for January 2021

Post by Carbon60 »

Hi all,

For anyone interested, here's a summary of geomagnetic activity captured on my homebrew magnetometer here in the UK throughout January.

Quite a respectable level of activity over the month, particularly towards the end with a G1 geomagnetic storm and geomagnetic unrest, but also at the start of the month with the impact of a couple of concurrent CMEs sparking geomagnetic unrest.

Hopefully there's more to come in February.

Thanks for looking.

Stu.

It does look a busy month, I expect the folks in Scandinavia enjoyed the nights :hamster:

Thanks, Alexandra.
I’m sure many of them did. There have been some superb photos of the Aurorae on line.
