A huge thank you from me as well. :bow

ImPPG is the only software which will save the day in poor seeing conditions.
Today was a perfect example: Same image: Before and after ImPPG:

Ok a few minutes later than my previous here - with a basic-start to a posted-image since redone with imppg and for a start is a welcome improvement.
Will do more trials with any different settings available in imppg.

Thanks for the reminder Chris and of course Filip/GreatAttractor - Thanks Very Much.

Your ImPPG version is over-sharpened. Leading to uniform and unnatural artefacts.
ImPPG should ideally be used just after your stacking software.

Thank you Chris and yes this was done in a hurry and is still in the leaning and experimental stage of use.

Last night was a very-busy time for me with lots to do's...

Hi Filip,
Thanks for the great work on this software.
:band
I just wonder about the following things.

1) Can you specify LRD separately from unsharp masking ? I mean I would like to do one with out necessarily doing the other.
2) Can you include a histogram display feature ? I think having a histogram would be advantageous. I hope you can do this for the next update !!

Thank you.

Magnus

Done and done ;)

1) Both can be disabled independently. To disable L-R deconvolution, set the number of iterations to 0 (or just click the "disable" button). To disable unsharp masking, set the "amount" to 1.0 (values > 1.0 sharpen, values < 1.0 blur), or just click "reset".

2) Histogram (of the current selection) is displayed in the background of the tone curve window. It applies to the image after all processing steps BEFORE the tone curve application.

Thank you Filip,
I shall have to read the manual again for ImPPG.
On another note, the Tone Curve editor seems to have disappeared. How do you get it back ? It happened before a long time ago now.

Many thanks.

Magnus

Hi Filip,

I found the Tone Editor reset window position command.
I will have to learn ImPPG again now !!
