Solar Chat emails going to JUNK Folder

Post by Starry Jack »

Anybody having their Solar Chat emails go to their junk folder? Suddenly the emails are coming from "Stephen Ramsden" rather than "Admin" or whatever it was before and now I miss all the fun. :)

I have added the email to my contacts, but that does not seem to help.

Best,
Jack

I'll move this to forum support, I think everyone is having email troubles ;) That doesn't help though :(

Hi Jack,
We recently upgraded the forum software and PHP software to the latest versions. After three years of less than 3% of emails successfully being sent by the forum because of outdated PHP software, we are finally able to send freely now.
I am Stephen Ramsden and founded the forum a long time ago. The from address is mine as we changed over to a different SMTP server for outgoing emails.
This will sound like a canned BS response and i'm sorry but there is nothing I can do about whatever email service you are using deciding to send emails from me into your junk folder.
Spam and junk folder rules are set on the receiving end through your email servers or whatever application you are using to read emails.
i’m happy to work with you one on one and try to decipher whatever rules are on your email server but it should be a simple matter of going to your actual email host and setting our domain as a safe list email sender.
The sender has no control over these decisions.
