AR12822 in Ha on May 11
The AR12822 is becoming more beautiful by the day. I am experimenting a new sharpening technique, what do you guys think?
Minh.

There you go. If you didn't say I wouldn't know positive image can have such contrast. Think I'll stick with positive from now on. The prominences is harder to pull out without bringing out the noise though.

Hi Minh,
Its' well-good to see both versions as coloured and positive, as well as negatives too. The detail so often seems to change between those.
Very well captured and processed.
Thanks for sharing

To my eye the mono positive photo seems to have the best contrast. But it seems no one cares about mono (when I post the photo anywhere but Solarchat). So colourized is kinda mandatoryEGRAY_OBSERVATORY wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 1:59 pm Hi Minh,

Re: AR12822 in Ha on May 11
Yes I understand what you mean, but here on SolarChat, many of us have very discerning-eyes and like to pick-up on fine detail which shows between the coloured and non-coloured versions.
Obviously bearing in mind the use of mono-cameras, the coloured versions often shown here, are of course of the artists taste - and we see many variations of the artistes ideas, which is fabulous and interesting...
Cheers
Terry
