ch-viladrich and I had some PM messages and he seeded my mind with an idea
i have an omega caH filter that seemed to wide to get cah detail
it behaved like a baader K line
so
i took out my shg to test
here is my SHG set up and image it can produce (SHG CaH)
my SHG and using it to test some solar filters

so first i test baadar k line here is what it allows thru
thick lines are the caH and caK lines H on top
this filter is pretty wide

here is test for Omega caH filter
it is not wide band -- that was an error in my part
its off band towards red
look hard caH line is below bright line

Re: my SHG and using it to test some solar filters
so can this be fixed?
if error is not to far away from H line I can tilt filter and bring it back to H line?
so I have skybender tilter and using my caK to visual converter eyepiece
i looked until I see plague area light up

Re: my SHG and using it to test some solar filters
thx Montana
i had filter for a few years
only now i can use it properly
i think its because omega caK line was correct on K spectral line (no tilt needed) but H was not
so i assumed it was in error
