Had to capture some frames between big, fat cumulus clouds at 1:30 EDT when I was afraid seeing would be awful and it was just the opposite. Good transparency and steady seeing, at least for a little while. I did capture a whopping 6 minutes of real time on the prom complex on the NW limb with a very tiny plasma "bomb" popping up just below the largest, arching prom in the animation. Only one frame showed the plasma ball as it rushed off the surface leaving a trail behind it. The animation plays forward and backward and the ball is rising from the surface in the correct direction. I will also post the still of that frame where you can see the tiny ball of plasma at the base of the large prom. Also grabbed some pics of the new AR and large filament on the western limb and some nice proms on the NE limb as well. Nice to see a blue sky rather than a slate blue hazy one even if it was only for a short time!
