Ca K images taken with the 300 mm Newtonian at St Véran

Post by christian viladrich »

Hi,

Here are some images taken at St Véran under good seeing conditions with the 300 mm Newtonian telescope and an Alluxa Ca K filter.

A small plage visible in the NE quadrant :

An area with no activity :

A very small spot :

More to come ...

Christian,
What make and focal length is this 300mm scope? I have a 300mm F5 Sky-Watcher Dob. It's hard for me to imagine me having good enough seeing to use it at high magnification on solar.

Nice supergranulation. Very nice!

Where is St. Veran?
