Here are some images taken at St Véran under good seeing conditions with the 300 mm Newtonian telescope and an Alluxa Ca K filter.
A small plage visible in the NE quadrant :

What make and focal length is this 300mm scope? I have a 300mm F5 Sky-Watcher Dob. It's hard for me to imagine me having good enough seeing to use it at high magnification on solar.
