30.08.2021 AR2860: Worth the wait?

Post by Rusted »

First capture of AR2860 was this morning.
The weather has been overcast or cloudy & wet, or both.
Heavy cloud still coming from the east. Long waits between captures.

10ms, Gain 93, 912x912, 8 bit AVI, Lunt B1200S2, ZWOASI174MM.
SharpCap, 75/500 frames AS!3.14, ImPPG, FP7 + the vital rubber band on the PST etalon. :D

Thanks Franco. :bow

The whole area is very mobile.
The changes are easily seen between captures.

Thank you. :bow

There was flare activity this afternoon.
I watched as it brightened in mere seconds to the south east of the easternmost spot.
It looked like a rocket burning upwards through cloud. With bright arcs forming to the north.
The seeing was off at the time with thermal agitation making it worse.

They do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. ;)

"Handy Hubby" eh? It seems so unfair.
My Wife is certainly handy but draws the line at carrying telescopes.
So I had to build an observatory. To cut down on the cost of hiring Sherpas.

Nice one Chris, I've ordered a pack of 'em r-bands, as I can fink of other purposes too..

Yeh, I fink "Woman's Lib" compared to "Equal Equalities" is still around and will be for yonks...

The grand-view of the observatory is great and you deserve a medal for your efforts. (where to pin-it - is another matter)...!!

What about those trees though ? Do you need to borrow my chain-saw ??

CLEAR SKIES through the tree-line...

Terry
