AR2960 and AR2965 taken yesterday 2022.03.12
Despite a rather cloudless sky, it was hazy. The low transparency seems to affect the h-alpha more than white light.
Best regards,
Michael

Welcome on the forum Michael. Great start !
I was just wondering whether you could try a version with less contrast. On my LCD screen (calibrated), the highlights look a bit high.

Hi Christian, now that you mention it, I have a look at the histogram and the white point is indeed clipped.christian viladrich wrote: ↑Sun Mar 13, 2022 9:32 pm Welcome on the forum Michael. Great start !

Here is a revised version. Hopefully it's better.
Thanks.

My best white light image was taken on Jul 1, 2021, which was featured on APOD the next day. That was my first APOD, and the only one so far. Since then, I'm yet to get any better result. The closest one was from Dec 26, 2021.
I've seen quite a few on Facebook who took better white light images with 8" refractor. My biggest constraints are the heat load since I don't use an ERF, and the older, slower camera with relatively large pixel size.

Michael,
The resolution of the 540nm image is impressive. The granulation and sunspot detail is great!!
You are located in Asia. What country?
