A G3 geomagnetic storm struck in the early hours of April 10th causing my magnetometer 'needle' to swing around after a period of relative calm following an earlier CME side swipe. The events could be related as Earth is currently passing through the wake of the original disturbance.
Thanks for looking.
Stu.

Not bad hit, we got loads of aurora alerts in the morning by which time it was too late they need to strike in normal waking hours at least your magnetometer carries on working while you are asleep.

Re: G3 Geomagnetic Storm April 10th 2022
That’s indeed true. Unfortunately, my magnetometer will need to be switched off for a few weeks shortly during a major build project at home. Steel scaffolding and movement of heavy equipment don’t sit well with nanotesla magnetic recordings I’ll also need to reroute the data cable to avoid it being damaged or built over. I hope it all works again afterwards
